Game-mode experiments
Three modes picked for effort against reward. Each one keeps the capsule draw, the luxury-bag inventory and all of the fulfillment pipeline as they are, and none gives a bag away for free. Open one to play it. On a desktop, the ⚙ Director on the right shows the effect log and the timeline, and lets you force outcomes. The plan is in docs/plans/game-modes-experiments.md.
Trunk Show
Open three or five Maison capsules together, in one checkout. The lock's jewel shows the finest tier inside, and the cards come out of the trunk from the lowest tier to the highest.
- You do
- Pick a trunk of 3 or 5 and pay once (3 or 5 × the capsule price). Swipe up to lift the lid.
- You get
- 3 or 5 ordinary Maison bags, each drawn at the published odds, never the same model twice.
- You can
- Keep or sell each bag on one line-up (sell = 90 % of its value), or skip to the line-up with Reveal all.
- Backend
- none (acquire N times) → light (one
quantitycharge) - Fulfillment
- unchanged: N ordinary bags
- Risk
- low: same tier odds, N × the price
Twelve Nights
One Maison capsule, opened like an advent calendar from Dec 13 to 24. The bag is chosen when you buy and stays sealed; a door a night tells you more about it.
- You do
- Buy once (the Maison price). Open one door each evening at 6 pm.
- You get
- One Maison bag (same bags, same odds), 5 true clues about it, 4 cosmetic gifts for your reveals, its tier on night 11 and the bag on night 12.
- You can
- Guess the house for a stamp, open everything early at any time, and keep, ship or sell the bag once you've seen it.
- Backend
- light: sealed draw + clues endpoint
- Fulfillment
- unchanged: one bag, shipped or sold after the reveal
- Risk
- low–med: today's capsule draw, nothing free; counsel on copy
The Appraisal
Two free games on the real catalogue and its values. No purchase and no prizes of value: you play for streaks, scores and stamps.
- You do
- Higher or Lower: say whether the next bag is worth more or less. Daily: name the price of five bags on a slider.
- You get
- A streak or a score out of 5,000, and stamps at set marks (badges for your profile, no cash value).
- You can
- Play Higher or Lower as often as you like and the Daily once a day, then share your result.
- Backend
- none: catalogue + FMV already exist
- Fulfillment
- not involved
- Risk
- low: skill, free, no prizes
What stays the same
All three use today's draw: a capsule pool with published odds, decided on the server before any animation (R1). The bags are the same authenticated bags, and keep, sell at 90 % and ship work as they do today. The new pieces are presentation, one optionalquantity on acquire, and a sealed state with a clues endpoint for Twelve Nights.Run, edit, review
Open anyindex.html straight from the folder, no server needed. To edit, run npm install and then npm run watch in this folder; source lives in */src and shared/src. Run npm run capture -- trunk-show to write frame contact sheets, and npm run single to make one-file builds for sharing. Details are in the README.Not reused on purpose
Nothing here imports from../pack-opening. The fonts are copies, and the card, stones, sound and particles were written fresh for 2D. That keeps these prototypes independent of the bow reveal while it keeps changing. In the app, Twelve Nights' night 12 and each Trunk Show card can hand off to the real reveal once it ships.
